Dianne M. Schlachter, MD, FAACS
Dr. Dianne Schlachter is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She completed a fellowship in ocular trauma and reconstructive surgery at the Kresge Eye Institute of Wayne State University, followed by a second American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) fellowship in ophthalmic and facial plastic surgery with Consultants in Ophthalmic & Facial Plastic Surgery, PC.
A graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine, Dr. Schlachter also holds a Master of Science in medical research. In addition to authoring numerous articles, abstracts and book chapters, Dr. Schlachter is on staff at several accredited hospitals throughout Mid and Southeast Michigan and Ohio, including Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, the Detroit Medical Center, and ProMedica Hospital in Monroe, MI.
She specializes in all areas of reconstructive, cosmetic eyelid and facial surgery, as well as tear duct surgery and orbital surgery, utilizing the most advanced techniques and latest technology available. As a leader in her field, Dr. Schlachter is Director of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at ProMedica Health System in Monroe, MI.
Dr. Schlachter has a special interest in thyroid-related eye disorders, such as those caused by Graves’ disease, in orbital surgery, and in cosmetic procedures such as endoscopic forehead lift.
