
Dr. Nesi is certified by and a Fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS), which indicates that he has special training and expertise in this subspecialty. He is also certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Following his residency at Kresge Eye Institute, Dr. Nesi completed his fellowship training at The Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York with Dr. Byron Smith who pioneered the field of Oculoplastic Surgery. Dr. Nesi has been in practice in the Detroit area since 1978 and is currently Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Wayne State University. He is also Director of Oculoplastic Surgery at William Beaumont Hospital. He is an Professor of Ophthalmology at Oakland University- William Beaumont School of Medicine. Dr. Nesi is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Nesi is interested in all aspects of plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the eyelids, tearducts and orbit. He uses the most advanced endoscopic and laser techniques available.
